RACV is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Fitness Centre Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our premium fitness facilities. In this fast-paced, service-driven role, you’ll ensure every member, guest and visitor receives exceptional support from the moment they arrive.
About the Opportunity
As a Fitness Centre Receptionist, you’ll manage daily reception and administrative operations while providing friendly, helpful service that enhances the overall experience of our fitness centre users. From greeting guests and handling bookings, to processing payments, you’ll play a key role in keeping our facilities running smoothly and professionally.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Welcome members, guests and visitors and provide information on services and facilities
• Manage enquiries, bookings, upsells and general administration duties
• Answer phones, record messages and liaise with internal departments
• Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Provide tours of the facility and support new member experiences
• Assist with daily operational logs, checklists and record-keeping
• Promote RACV services and contribute to a “member-first” service culture
• Identify and report risks, safety issues and maintenance needs
• Support safe work practices and contribute to health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
• Assist in managing towel/locker hire and membership service filing
• Respond calmly and professionally to difficult situations and member feedback
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
• Experience in a customer-service role within hospitality or similar
• Strong communication, negotiation and rapport-building skills
• High attention to detail, strong numeric and literacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent personal presentation and a genuine passion for member service
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation, including weekends
Desirable:
• Experience with booking/administration software
• Knowledge of RACV products
• Certificate-level qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism, Management or Events
• Level 2 First Aid and/or OH&S Certificate
