About the Opportunity
Join RACV Torquay as a Fitness Centre Attendant and help deliver an exceptional wellbeing experience for our members, guests, and visitors.
We’re looking for a motivated and service‑focused Fitness Centre Attendant to support daily operations of our Fitness Centre, provide high‑quality health and fitness guidance, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all users.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold RACV service standards.
- Supervise gym areas, monitor equipment usage, and support members with safe, effective fitness advice and programs.
- Conduct fitness assessments, design programs, and provide up‑to‑date health and fitness information.
- Maintain presentation standards, support daily operations, and contribute to continual service improvement.
- Promote safe work practices and assist with incident reporting when required.
- Reception and administration tasks as directed by Managers
What you’ll need to be successful
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport.
- Customer‑service focused, proactive, and a team player.
- Physically fit with high attention to detail and a professional approach.
- Able to work independently and flexibly, including weekends as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Level 2 First Aid & CPR
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Experience in a Fitness Centre Attendant or similar role
- Cert III Fitness (minimum)
- Working with Children’s check
Desirable:
- Cert IV in Fitness, tertiary studies in Fitness
- Group fitness instructor credentials
- Experience conducting fitness appraisals and programs
