About the Opportunity

An exciting part-time opportunity exists for a Conference & Events Operations Manager to join our team at RACV Torquay Resort.

We are seeking an experienced Conference & Events (C&E) Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our Food & Beverage department across our RACV Resort. This pivotal role ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality service to members, guests, and visitors while driving operational excellence, team performance, and business growth. If you are a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality and a proven ability to manage large teams and events, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the C&E team, fostering a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
• Oversee daily operations of food and beverage department, ensuring service standards, presentation, and compliance are met.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and performance management to build a multi-skilled and motivated team.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Drive service excellence and member satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of business plans and operational goals.
• Maintain strong internal and external relationships, promoting RACV’s reputation within the hospitality industry.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma level or equivalent qualification in Food & Beverage and / or Hospitality studies
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Extensive experience in a C&E management role within a hotel or resort environment, including multi-outlet operations and shift work.
• Proven ability to lead large teams, with hands-on expertise in planning, financial control, resource management, and staff development.
• Strong skills in supervising, coaching, and training team members to achieve performance goals.
• Desirable qualifications such as Certificate IV in Hospitality, OH&S certification, and tertiary studies in hospitality or food & beverage.
