About the Opportunity

 

Are you a dynamic day spa leader ready to elevate One Spa? We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Day Spa Manager to lead our luxury One Spa, where our people and guests are at the heart of everything we do. This hands‑on role is ideal for a passionate wellness professional who loves developing teams, creating meaningful guest connections and delivering personalised, exceptional spa experiences — while balancing service excellence with strong commercial performance.

As the Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and success of One Spa, ensuring operations align with brand standards, guest expectations and commercial objectives. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the spa while leading, developing and inspiring a high‑performing team. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, your key responsibilities for the role include:

 

  • Lead and inspire a high‑performing spa team through a hands‑on, people‑first leadership style
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and motivating culture aligned to luxury service and wellbeing
  • Recruit, train, roster and develop a skilled, guest‑centric spa team
  • Drive individual and team performance through coaching, KPIs and ongoing development
  • Oversee seamless day‑to‑day spa operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, cost control and yield optimisation to maximise profitability
  • Deliver memorable, personalised guest experiences while professionally resolving feedback
  • Grow revenue through service promotion, rebooking strategies and retail performance
  • Champion health, safety and wellbeing through proactive risk management and compliance 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Availability to work between 8.30am-5.30pm, with flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
  • Previous demonstrated senior level experience as a Spa Manager within a hotel, resort or premium day spa, within the beauty or wellness industry
  • Diploma of Beauty Therapy or Massage Therapy, essential
  • Hold or ability to obtain a valid QLD Working with Children Check Blue Card, essential
  • Advanced technical capability across facials, massage, body therapies and salon services
  • Proven people leader with the ability to motivate, develop and manage high‑performing teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, yield management and retail performance
  • Highly organised, polished communicator able to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and spa/wellness management system
  • Exceptional personal presentation and professionalism
