About the Opportunity 

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our Front Office team and deliver a high level of customer service to our guests. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for guests, groups and conference clients, assisting with their reservation needs from beginning to end.

As a Reservations Agent, your key responsibilities for the role include:  

 

  • Process reservations information with accuracy
  • Monitor room blockings, report pick up, VIP & upgrade accommodation
  • Complete pre-arrival checks, follow up late arrivals or cancellations, generate revenue through upselling, repeat business and promoting inhouse services
  • Maintain records, emails, respond to phone enquiries and provide solutions to special requests
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guests needs are met

Full availability and flexibility is required to work a rotating roster, Sunday-Saturday, between 7am-11pm, inclusive of evenings, weekends & public holidays.

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

 

  • Knowledge and experience in hotel front office reservations operations
  • PMS experience, Opera knowledge would be an advantage
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Excellent administration & MS Office application skills 
  • A professional telephone manner, active listening, strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills 
  • Attention to detail, ability to problem solve, be organised and possess efficient time management skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Excellent personal presentation
