About the Opportunity

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Public Area Cleaning Supervisor to join our service driven team. At RACV Royal Pines Resort, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment and maintaining cleanliness and presentation of public spaces throughout the resort. You will work closely with one other PAC Supervisor, aligning to lead a professional team, who work throughout the resort and deliver a high standard of service to our guests.

As the Public Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily PAC operation and driving the success through the productivity, quality high standards, cleaning methods, processes, hygiene and safety of the department. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, your key responsibilities for the role will include:  

 

  • Supervise and lead the day to day operation to maintain the resort public area spaces which include pool and outdoor areas, lifts, conference rooms, restaurant & bar outlets, bathrooms, carpark, lobby, offices, back of house & common areas 
  • Supervise and lead the PAC team to perform best practice 
  • Build strong relationships with PAC team, departments and contractors 
  • Train, develop, provide feedback, reward and recognise staff 
  • Perform recruitment tasks and manage team roster 
  • Identify, report, control hazards & risks to maintain a safe working environment 

 

Full availability and flexibility to work day or evening shifts on a rotating roster between 4am – 12am including weekends & public holidays. Eg. 4am-12pm, 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am.

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Full availability and flexibility to work days,evenings & weekends on a rotating roster
  • Demonstrated experience in a Supervisor role of a public area cleaning or housekeeping operation in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment 
  • Experience working in a commercial cleaning, multi-outlet operation, hospitality or customer service environment 
  • Understanding and in-depth knowledge of effective customer management, service standards, cleaning operations & best practice cleaning techniques 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to engage and motivate a team  
  • Effective people management skills in rostering, recruitment, training and development 
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office, Outlook and PMS Opera 
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment 
  • Excellent personal presentation
