About this Opportunity

 

RACV Royal Pines Resort has an exciting opportunity for a casual Leisure Attendant to join our front of house team. You will be actively responsible for monitoring and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of our pool and water park aquatic facilities.

In this role, you will build positive relationships and interact with guests daily in a respectful, polite and friendly manner, enforcing the pool rules and ensure the facilities are being used safely. Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing a high standard of customer service to our guests
  • Supervising guest facilities, interacting, communicating, guiding and setting boundaries and expectations, to ensure the pool rules are followed and a safe environment is maintained
  • Monitoring & Responding to Aquatic Facilities – pool & water park
  • Actively maintaining a clean aquatic environment
  • Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained adhering to policies and procedures
  • Completing daily checklists & report issues
  • Identify maintenance issues, improvements, safety issues and risks
  • Assist the food & beverage team to manage pool side or outlet services
  • Assist the front office team with concierge/porter or reception duties, as required

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Availability and flexibility to work shifts between 7.45am to 6.45pm on a rotating roster including weekends & public holidays
  • Previous experience in an aquatic pool lifeguard role, in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment
  • Valid Pool Lifeguard qualification, essential
  • Valid First Aid Certificate, essential
  • Valid QLD Working with Children Check, essential
  • Valid Drivers Licence, desirable
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate, essential
  • Experience administering first aid, strong swimming ability, knowledge of pool safety practices & high cleanliness standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with guests
  • Display a positive attitude, work well in a team environment & flexibility to support various areas of the resort
  • Show attention to detail, use initiative and be proactive to work efficiently and take pride in your work
  • Ability to respond to feedback, remain calm under pressure and resolve difficult situations
  • Knowledge of hotel/resort operations, local tourism sites & events, desirable
  • Excellent personal presentation
