About the Opportunity

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Handyperson to join the maintenance team at RACV Royal Pines Resort. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair and preventative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the resort.

As a Handyperson, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Carry out general maintenance of resort fittings and fixtures, carpentry, painting, minor electrical and plumbing and cleaning duties
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
  • Conducting routine inspections of hotel facilities and identifying maintenance needs
  • Maintain the workshop, plant rooms and storerooms in a clean and tidy manner
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner and ensure it is in good working condition
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment 

 

Full availability and flexibility are required to work shifts on a weekly rotating roster between 7am-10pm, including weekends and public holidays, depending on business needs.

 

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Previous building maintenance experience as a handyperson within a hotel/resort, or similar environment
  • General handyperson skills in carpentry, painting, minor electrical and plumbing
  • Knowledge of facility, building and equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Competent computer skills in BMS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong time management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with contractors or independently
  • Perform physical and manual handling duties
  • Excellent personal presentation
