About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our golf course maintenance team, to help maintain the presentation of the resort grounds and golf course. Our team take great pride in presenting the property in top condition and to enhance the guest experience.

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the property gardens and golf course to the highest standard. Your key responsibilities include:

Carry out day to day garden maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, pruning, landscaping, weed control, irrigation maintenance, applying fertiliser and pesticide spaying

Operate gardening equipment, tools and machinery

Work collaboratively with team members and other departments

Maintain excellent customer service standards with members and guests

Maintain safe working practices

Our team work Monday-Thursday 5.30am-2pm, Friday 5.30am-11.30am, plus one rotating weekend, Saturday & Sunday 5-9am, per month. Availability to work these hours are essential.
What you’ll need to be successful

Landscape gardening experience in a 4-5 hotel/resort, golf course or similar environment

Certificate III in Horticulture, essential

Current drivers licence
-
Chemical spraying certificate, desirable

Knowledge of commercial gardening and landscaping techniques and operations, plant varieties, planting conditions and propagation techniques

Knowledge & experience in operating gardening equipment, tools and machinery
-
Clear communication skills and work well in a team environment
-
Understanding of work health and safety practices
-
Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting

Excellent presentation
