About the Opportunity
Are you highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for conference and events? We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Conference & Events Supervisor to oversee the smooth delivery of food and beverage service across our large and dynamic events space. From corporate conferences to elegant celebrations, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every guest experiences exceptional service.

As the Conference & Events Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for directing a team of Food & Beverage Attendants, coordinating service delivery, and supporting management in achieving operational goals. You’ll be the go-to person during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Provide clear direction, training and hands on leadership to F&B Attendants, leading by example to deliver high-quality service
- Perform food & beverage duties including order taking, food/beverage running, coffee making and bar service
- Communicate with internal & external stakeholders to ensure smooth service and resolve guest concerns professionally & promptly
- Oversee event operations including set up, pack down, balance float, takings and end of day reporting
- Monitor and manage staffing roster levels and payroll within budget
- Support the management team to order stock, minimise wastage and manage inventory efficiently
- Ensure procedures and policies are followed and completed
- Foster and maintain a safe and motivating work environment
Full availability and flexibility to work a weekly rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holiday is essential in this role. Shift times will vary between 5am - midnight/2am, depending on the event needs.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Previous experience in a C&E F&B Supervisor role, preferably within a C&E or 4/5-star hotel/resort environment, with a knowledge of C&E operations and F&B service procedures
- Passion for the hospitality industry and service excellence with attention to detail
- Leadership, communication, time management and problem solving skills
- Understanding of rostering and labour cost control, training and development of staff
- RSA Certificate, essential
- Ability to perform physical duties and present with excellent grooming and personal presentation
