About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast paced hotel environment? Do you enjoy providing exceptional service with a smile? We are seeking allrounder Food & Beverage Attendants to join our professional and vibrant conference & events team, waiting tables and working behind a coffee machine or bar. Our team deliver a high standard of customer service to guests with a friendly, positive ‘can do' attitude and a helpful approach.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to experience working small and large conferences & events. You will be flexible, showcasing your broad customer service skill set, working behind the bar, waiting tables, pouring drinks or making coffees. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Greet & interact with guests
- Take orders and table service
- Beverage service - wine, beer & spirit knowledge & service
- Bar set up, service & pack down
- Barista coffee making
- Set and clear tables
- Menu knowledge & explanation
- POS and cash handling
What you'll need to be successful
- Availability to work 3+ shifts per week, between 5am - midnight/2am, on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends & public holidays
- Previous conference and events food & beverage experience in a hotel/resort environment
- RSA Certificate, essential
- Table service order taking, waitering skills in a la carte, alternate drop, set menu, buffet etc
- Barista coffee making skills & experience
- Bar & beverage knowledge & experience - beer pouring, wine & mixing drinks
- Ability to carry 3 plates and a tray of drinks for table service
- Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with guests well and to clearly explain food & beverage menus
- POS experience
- Work well in a team environment & can follow direction
- Passion for the hospitality industry & a desire to deliver 5 star customer service
- Excellent personal presentation
