The Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving wedding and social celebration revenue while delivering exceptional end-to-end event experiences at RACV City Club. This position is accountable for converting wedding enquiries into confirmed business and providing a seamless interface between client expectations and operational delivery.

 

This role works with a high degree of autonomy to achieve individual wedding revenue targets and collaborates closely with the Events team to contribute to the annual conference and events budget. Supporting the Associate Director of Sales, the role provides strategic and operational leadership for wedding and social celebration events, driving commercial performance, protecting brand reputation and maximising guest satisfaction.

This role combines commercial ownership with hands-on event leadership and strong stakeholder influence. You will lead the full wedding and social celebration journey — from first enquiry to post-event evaluation — creating memorable experiences while achieving strong commercial outcomes.

Working collaboratively with sales, operations and property-based teams, you will translate client vision into executable, high-quality events, proactively manage risk, and continuously seek opportunities to optimise conversion performance, efficiency and guest experience.

 

Your key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Proactively identify, pursue and secure new wedding business and referral opportunities to maintain a healthy forward pipeline.
    Identify and carry out opportunities within the social media landscape to ensure maximum exposure for the Club as a wedding venue 
  • Build strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure the best outcomes for our couples and cross referral opportunities
  • Participation in industry events or exhibitions to keep informed of most up to date trends
  • Lead the full lifecycle of wedding and social events from initial consultation through to post-event evaluation.
  • Act as the central point of accountability between clients, internal departments and external suppliers. 
  • Anticipate, identify and mitigate operational, financial and reputational risks.
  • Resolve guest feedback and complaints with sound judgement, safeguarding guest experience and RACV brand standards. 

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Previous experience in a wedding sales coordination role (essential).
  • Proven success in wedding sales, conversion and revenue delivery.
  • Strong understanding of event sales and management within the weddings and special events industry.
  • Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage customer escalations and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance customer expectations, cost and operational feasibility.
  • Certificate qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Management or Events (desirable).
  • Experience in hotel or resort operations (desirable).
