About the Opportunity 

If you're an experienced Chef looking to take the next step in your culinary career, this is an exciting opportunity to join our talented Bistro Kitchen team. Our operation delivers a diverse range of dining experiences, from extensive buffet breakfasts through to a la carte lunch and dinner service, providing exposure to a variety of cooking styles and service periods.

As a Demi Chef, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards. Working alongside experienced culinary leaders, you'll build on your existing skills, gain experience across multiple sections and contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.

 What you’ll need to be Successful

  • Qualified Chef with Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience

  • Previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen, hotel, resort or similar environment

  • Strong food preparation skills across a range of kitchen sections including buffet, a la carte, functions or banquets

  • Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, stock rotation and kitchen operations

  • A passion for producing quality food with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and support junior team members

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and peak holiday periods
