RACV is looking for a dynamic and visionary Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of this culinary operation, transforming every meal into a memorable experience that delights our members and guests. As a hands-on leader, you'll not only manage our day-to-day operations but also play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the kitchen, pushing the boundaries of creativity and culinary excellence.

 

You will inspire and empower a passionate team of chefs with a hands-on, mentoring approach. Cultivate a safe and motivating environment where creativity and initiative are not just encouraged—they're celebrated. You'll set the standard for a culture of culinary excellence, ensuring every dish that leaves the kitchen is a testament to our commitment to high-quality food products and exceptional service. By actively contributing to the strategic vision of our kitchen, you'll have the freedom to innovate, refine, and introduce new methods to elevate our offerings and generate fresh revenue streams.

 

You will drive operational and financial excellence by taking ownership of the kitchen’s financial health. This includes managing budgets, implementing cost-reduction strategies, and providing strategic insights that directly contribute to our financial viability and sustainability. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and increase revenue. Your insights and continuous improvement initiatives will be key to helping us grow our business and build lasting relationships with our members. You will ensure our operations run smoothly by constantly reviewing and updating procedures, guaranteeing efficiency, and ensuring every member and guest interaction is a seamless one.

 

What you’ll need to be Successful

We are looking for someone with strong communication and management skills who can remain calm under pressure while directing, training, and inspiring a team. You should be a proactive problem-solver strong time management and a desire to take ownership of your work.

 

Your ability to promote morale and foster teamwork is essential. You should be adept at managing people, from appraisal to day-to-day motivation. Ultimately, we need a leader who can deliver a consistently high-quality product while driving positive change and continuous improvement.
