About the Opportunity 

 

We’re looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee the performance of our housekeeping team during their shift. This role is key to ensuring our standards of cleanliness, safety, productivity, and staff wellbeing are consistently met.

The role is focused on ensuring that the daily requirements are delivered to a consistently high standard and that the appropriate level of service to guests is maintained. Key responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Supervise and coordinate Room Attendants to ensure daily plans, business objectives, and guest expectations are met efficiently and effectively. 

  • Provide hands-on leadership that fosters a safe, supportive, and motivating team environment. 

  • Direct and assist the housekeeping team in completing daily tasks to a high standard. 

  • Onboard and train team members in accordance with RACV policies and procedures. 

  • Monitor cleanliness and productivity daily, ensuring all rooms are ready by 2pm. 

 

This is a permanent, full-time position working 38 hours per week. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values quality service and teamwork. 

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

 

  • Availability across a 7-day rotating roster, and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends & public holidays, desirable  

  • Leadership experience in a hotel/resort environment, desirable 

  • Experience using MS Office Suite 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 

  • Plan and prioritise tasks effectively 

  • Experience in staff training and development. 

  • Ability to lead by example, encourage teamwork and motivate a team 

  • Confident decision making and conflict resolution skills 

  • Full working rights in Australia 

  • Valid Australian drivers licence (essential)
