About the Opportunity 

Are you passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces? Do you take pride in presenting gardens that leave a lasting impression? Join our team as a Grounds Maintenance Officer and help elevate the visual appeal of our resort grounds to the highest standard. 

This could be just the right role for you?  

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the resort gardens in top condition to enhance the guest experience. Your key responsibilities include:  

• Maintain garden beds, hedges, trees and lawns 

• Carry out maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, pruning, landscaping, weed control, irrigation maintenance, applying fertiliser and pesticide spaying  

• Operate gardening equipment, tools and machinery  

• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments  

• Maintain excellent customer service standards with members and guests   

• Maintain safe working practices  

This is a permanent full time role. Rostered shifts would be 7.00am - 3.00pm, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll need to be successful  

• Relevant certificate in general landscaping or horticulture, or equivalent experience (desirable); 
• An understanding of maintenance, horticulture and landscape procedure and techniques; 
• Soft scape grounds knowledge (desirable); 
• Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting 
• Can work unsupervised and within a team environment, at times fast-paced, demonstrating a positive attitude and communicating effectively; 
• Has excellent customer service and organisational skills;  
• Plays an active role in ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment, adhering to RACV health and safety policies and procedures.      
• Valid Australian drivers licence (mandatory)
