About the Opportunity 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Groundsperson to join our grounds team and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the resort grounds.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is an active hands-on role, working in a small team and at times, autonomously. Your key responsibilities for the role include: 

 

  • Perform general grounds duties such as gardening, plant care, weed control, landscaping and general maintenance as required 
  • Operate equipment including lawn mower, whipper snipper, and hedger; whilst maintaining and adhering to safe work practices. 
  • Ensure a high standard of quality presentation is maintained 
  • Complete tasks within the designated time frames and to a high standard 
  • Interact with guests and visitors to provide a high standard of customer service and a memorable experience 

 

This is a casual role. Rostered shifts would be 7.00am - 3.30pm, between Monday to Friday. Up to 38 hours on offer if desired.

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

 

  • Relevant certificate in general landscaping or horticulture, or equivalent experience (desirable); 
  • An understanding of maintenance, horticulture and landscape procedure and techniques; 
  • Soft scape grounds knowledge (desirable); 
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting 
  • Can work unsupervised and within a team environment, at times fast-paced, demonstrating a positive attitude and communicating effectively; 
  • Has excellent customer service and organisational skills;  
  • Plays an active role in ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment, adhering to RACV health and safety policies and procedures.      
  • Valid Australian drivers licence (mandatory)
