About the Opportunity

 

An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and energetic Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team on a full-time basis.

 

In this role, you will assist in the effective operation of the kitchen by working collaboratively with the broader culinary team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service to our members and guests.

As a Chef de Partie, you will report to the Executive Chef and be supported by other senior members of the kitchen brigade.

 

Dining options at RACV Noosa Resort include buffet breakfast in our Arcuri Restaurant, bar service for lunch and dinner, poolside dining, in-room dining, and our popular pizzeria overlooking the infinity pool. The resort also caters for large corporate groups through our conference and event facilities.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Preparing and serving a consistently high-quality product

  • Managing stock rotation and minimising wastage

  • Overseeing and performing operational duties within your section

  • Working across all areas of the kitchen operation as required

  • Training and inducting staff, and supporting the development of apprentices, cooks and chefs

 

Roster flexibility is highly regarded. Typical shift patterns are 5:30am–1:30pm or 1:30pm–9:30pm.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

 

  • Previous Demi Chef or Chef de Partie experience

  • A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia

  • Demonstrated cookery experience with well-developed knife skills

  • Ability to thrive in a large, busy and fast-paced kitchen

  • Capacity to safely lift up to 20kg and perform repetitive manual tasks

  • Full working rights in Australia

 

Bakery or pastry experience will be highly regarded, particularly experience supporting breakfast service, desserts or high-volume production.
