RACV Inverloch Resort is seeking an experienced and talented Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen operations, inspire a high-performing brigade and help deliver exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. 

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys mentoring others, driving culinary excellence and creating memorable food experiences in a beautiful regional location. 

 

About the Role 

Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of a busy kitchen operation, ensuring food quality, consistency and service standards are maintained at the highest level. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of chefs and kitchen staff 

  • Delivering exceptional food experiences across restaurant, events and functions 

  • Managing food costs, stock control and kitchen operations 

  • Supporting menu development and culinary innovation 

  • Ensuring food safety, hygiene and workplace safety compliance 

  • Driving a positive, high-performing and collaborative team culture 

  • Contributing to the overall success of the resort's food and beverage offering

 

About You 

You'll be a passionate culinary leader who brings both strong technical skills and a genuine love for developing people. 

 

We're looking for: 

  • Trade qualified Chef with Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent 

  • Experience leading teams within a commercial kitchen environment 

  • Demonstrated experience across multiple kitchen sections within a 4 or 5-star hotel, resort or premium hospitality venue 

  • Strong food preparation, stock management and cost control experience 

  • Experience training and developing kitchen team members 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills 

  • A hands-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure 

  • Food Handling Certificate and strong knowledge of food safety requirements
