A day in the life
A day in the life of a Supply Officer is fast-paced and detail oriented, with a strong focus on keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Much of the role centres around coordination and communication, working closely with chefs, food and beverage teams, and events staff to manage stock requests and ensure departments are well supported. The role also involves liaising with suppliers to place orders, follow up on deliveries, and quickly resolve any discrepancies.
A key part of the day involves maintaining accurate records, particularly around invoicing. This includes processing invoices, matching them to purchase orders and deliveries, and ensuring all information is current and correctly recorded. Staying organised and keeping systems up to date is essential to ensure everything runs efficiently.
While there may be some occasional hands on involvement when required, the role is primarily focused on coordination, tracking stock, and managing the flow of goods and information. Overall, it’s a position that relies on strong organisation, attention to detail, and clear communication to support the wider team.
