Senior Sales & Events Coordinator (Secondment)


About the Opportunity 

The opportunity has arisen for a secondment into Senior Conference & Events Coordinator to join our sales & events team. The Senior Conference & Events Coordinator is responsible for the seamless delivery of the conference and events bookings and sales for the RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort.

 The role is responsible for ensuring that there is a seamless interface between establishing the client’s requirements and the delivery of these requirements. Working with the events team, this role drives the achievement of divisional and corporate objectives while generating increased business opportunities

This is a part-time role 3- 4 days per week

Reporting to the Club Director of sales – Conference & Events, you will perform administration and sales support duties, associated with the conference & events sales activity. Your key responsibilities for the role include: 

 

  • Handling client phone enquiries, manage general sales email inbox and the distribution of leads 
  • Administrative and sales support creating proposals, contracts and sales addendums 
  • Preparing documents for site inspections
  • Prepare reports on expenses, sales activity and group production 
  • Participate in daily sales activities, manage diary and coordinate travel requirements of sales team 
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, maximise business opportunities and cross sell 
  • Handling of complaints and customer escalations.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting and sales forecasting processes

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

  • Core Computer skills including MS Office suite of products.
  • Ability to quickly build a rapport and develop internal & external networks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in written form.
  • High level of personal initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Experience Hotel or Resort operations (Desirable)
  • Experience with program OPERA (Desirable)
  • Manage and resolve difficult situations and member feedback.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
