A day in the life
As Head Chef at RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort, your day is centred on leading a strong, engaged kitchen team across a diverse, high-volume operation. You’ll oversee a variety of offerings, including buffet breakfast in Banyalla Restaurant, dining in Riddells Green, in-room dining, and large conferences and events, setting the tone for a positive, supportive environment where your team feels motivated, accountable and proud of what they deliver.
With a hands-on leadership style, you’ll coach and guide your brigade to build capability and maintain consistency. Alongside this, you’ll ensure the kitchen runs smoothly day-to-day managing rostering, stock and costs, while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety. With a passion for food and a focus on fresh, local produce, you’ll help shape menus and work closely with the team to deliver high-quality guest experiences.

We’re looking for…

People-First Leadership: A Head Chef who leads with respect, consistency and integrity. You build strong, engaged teams, hold people accountable in the right way, and create a positive kitchen culture where individuals feel supported to perform at their best.

Proven Experience: A background in 4–5 star hotels, resorts or high-volume premium environments, with the ability to manage diverse service styles including à la carte and large-scale conferences and events.

Strong Technical Capability: Confidence across all areas of the kitchen, with the ability to deliver a consistent, high-quality product and guide your team to do the same.

Commercial Focus: Solid understanding of rostering, stock control, budgeting and cost management, with a focus on driving efficiency without compromising on quality.

Calm and Consistent Approach: A leader who remains composed under pressure, makes clear decisions and sets the standard during busy service periods.
