About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Groundsperson to join our Golf Course maintenance team. In this physical role, you will proactively move around the resort undertaking various general golf course and gardening tasks. This will be achieved by carrying out work in the most efficient manner, to enhance the members, visitors and guests experience and ensure the appropriate quality and level of service is always provided.

As a Groundsperson, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Carry out the day-to-day activities required to maintain the golf course and grounds of the property at the highest standard and condition, with minimal disruption to business operations. This may include planting, mowing, course landscaping, water system maintenance and basic equipment repair. 
  • Maintain workshop areas and storerooms in clean and tidy manner and maintain tools in working condition.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and tidiness around the property by performing general duties. Ensuring the golf course is maintained to the highest standard of presentation.
  • Achieve RACV ‘best practice’ operating standards by maintaining up to date knowledge and adhere to all standard operating procedures. 
  • Continually update knowledge and skills Interact with guests to provide a high standard of customer service
  • Use tools, equipment and maintain OHS standards adhering to polices and procedures

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Previous experience and knowledge in a Groundsperson role in a resort, or similar environment
  • Drivers Licence
  • Machinery operation experience, desirable
  • Gardening, irrigation knowledge & previous golf course maintenance, highly desirable
  • Strong communication, time management, attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office, email, record keeping, reporting is required
  • Ability to work well in a team or independently, performing active physical duties
  • A positive attitude & approach to work, enthusiastic, flexible/adaptable & excellent personal presentation
  • Full working rights in Australia
