RACV Goldfields Resort is a 4.5-star countryside retreat set on 150 acres of state forest and bushland, located between Ballarat and Daylesford in Victoria’s Spa Country — just 80–90 minutes from Melbourne CBD. The resort offers a mix of leisure, luxury, and business facilities, making it ideal for family holidays, romantic getaways, golf weekends, and conferences.

 

About the Role

Are you passionate about hospitality and thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Receptionist & Reservations Agent to join our team.

This role is primarily focused on front office and reservations, with cross-training in conferencing and events. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, delivering exceptional service that reflects RACV standards and helping create memorable experiences.

While the role is predominantly Monday to Friday (9:00am–5:00pm), flexibility is required to meet business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle accommodation and conferencing reservations: confirm bookings, process changes or cancellations, and manage pre-arrival checks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort services, rates, amenities, promotions, and conferencing/event spaces.
  • Respond to guest enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms; create accommodation and restaurant bookings.
  • Upsell and cross-sell resort services to enhance guest experiences and generate revenue.
  • Accurately maintain booking systems (PMS Opera, Micros, OTA platforms) and process payments.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and conferencing teams to ensure guest needs and special requests are met.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Full availability and flexibility (core shifts Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm).
  • Previous experience in front office, reservations, or conferencing/events in a 4–5 star hotel or resort is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with PMS Opera is desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple enquiries.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Eligible for a Working with Children Check.
