About the Opportunity
The Front Office Manager is responsible and accountable for supporting Management in effectively managing the operations of the Front Office department. The role is focused on ensuring that the day to-day activities and strategic planning associated with the following areas; Front Office/Reception, Reservations and Night Audit are delivered to a consistently high standard and that the appropriate level of service to members, guests and visitors is maintained.

Provide leadership to the Front Office team and manage resources in the most efficient and effective manner to meet daily maintenance plans, business objectives and customer requirements.

Ensure the smooth daily operation within the Front Office team by assisting in managing all financial, human and other resources to meet agreed objectives.

Develop operational plans for the Front Office department and staff in conjunction with Management, taking into consideration member, guest and visitor needs.

Manage department expenditure within or below the approved budget.
What you'll need to be successful
-
Previous experience at a management level within a Front Office function.

Substantial knowledge of Front Office operations within 5-star venues

Excellent grasp of marketing principles and selling techniques with a flair for conceptualising promotional opportunities

Extensive experience in staff management practices including recruiting, rewarding, appraising, counselling and staff development.

Knowledge of budget and accounting procedures including planning, forecasting & controlling is desirable
-
Strong leadership and operational management skills.

Strong communication and negotiation skills
