RACV Goldfields Resort is searching for Demi Chefs who are ready to take the next step in their career and be a part of a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals to the highest standard for our guests.
- Assist in menu creation and ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
- Work effectively within a team environment to deliver exceptional food and service.
- Manage ingredients and inventory to minimize waste.
- Uphold the hotel group’s standards of quality and service.
You’ll display a passion for all things food and cooking-related and a flair for creating dishes made from local ingredients. The role will allow you to work across our restaurant, banquets, room service and our lounge.
About the Role:
As a Demi Chef, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing your section with the assistance of Chef de Partie. This is a great opportunity for you to take the next step in your career.
We are looking for
- For Demi Chef roles, a Commercial Cookery Qualification – Cert III or IV and minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or a la carte restaurant environment.
- The ability to travel to Goldfields and work across a rotating roster.
- A passion for locally sourced and seasonal produce.
- A desire to develop among a driven & professional team.
- Ability to work autonomously on a section or within a fast-paced team.
- Exposure to stock-taking, wastage control, menu development and costings’.
