About the Opportunity

 

Are you passionate about the great outdoors and skilled in hospitality management? We’re seeking a dedicated Park Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at our premium RACV branded holiday park, RACV Cobram Resort, located near the scenic Murray River and right in the heart of Victoria’s Goulburn Valley.

As the Park Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards throughout the grounds and all resort functions, and achieving strategic and financial objectives. Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leadership - provide solid operational leadership to achieve departmental and corporate goals while ensuring high service standards and exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Operational management - oversee the daily operations of the resort by managing resources effectively, delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders, and ensuring the resort’s facilities and grounds are presented to the highest standard
  • People management - lead and manage resort staff within budget, set clear performance objectives, foster a positive team culture, support career development, and ensure compliance with RACV policies
  • Planning - develop and implement strategic and operational plans, aligning with member needs, industry trends, seasonal demand, and revenue goals—while contributing to budgeting, safety management, and business continuity planning
  • Financial management - maintain strong financial control across resort operations by ensuring compliance with legislative and RACV standards, managing budgets and cash flow, implementing cost-reduction strategies, and contributing to business planning, purchasing, and resource allocation
  • Reporting - report on operational and financial performance to senior leadership, contribute to forecasting, take proactive steps to meet budget targets, and monitor resort outcomes using KPIs
  • Compliance management - ensure the resort operates in full compliance with RACV’s risk management and HSW policies by training staff, proactively identifying and reporting risks, maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, and implementing procedures aligned with relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
  • Health, safety & wellbeing - maintain a safe and healthy workplace by proactively managing HSW matters in line with RACV policies, promoting safe work practices, supporting incident investigations and return-to-work programs, and actively contributing to HSW initiatives

 

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within an Australian park or resort
  • Solid understanding of holiday park operations, including grounds maintenance, housekeeping, and front office
  • Comfortable working within corporate structures and contributing to business development
  • Available to work a flexible rotational roster including weekends & public holidays and attend after hours emergency call outs
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office + Opera, Micros, safety & maintenance systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills with a positive and flexible mindset
  • Skilled in staff management including recruitment, performance, coaching and development
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, and financial processes
  • Marketing awareness and ability to identify and leverage promotional opportunities
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project management capabilities
  • Ability to coordinate and manage time and multiple tasks effectively
  • Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance and relevant legislation
