About the Opportunity

 

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to lead and champion our high performing housekeeping team, focusing on ensuring the daily housekeeping requirements are delivered of a consistently high standard for our guests, as well as adhering to all processes, safety requirements, productivity targets, cleanliness standards and staff wellbeing. The ideal candidate will be energetic, friendly and uphold the RACV values and dynamic workplace culture.

In this ‘hands on’ role as the Housekeeping Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Effectively leading the housekeeping team, coordinating and overseeing the smooth day to day operations. You will have an eye for detail, monitor the cleanliness standard and productivity, to ensure the apartments and cabins are sparkling and ready for guests on time.
  • Motivate and maintain a positive team culture. Maintain staff rosters, train, mentor and assist with staff performance development and appraisals to continuously improve and develop our team and service standards.
  • Maintain stock levels, ordering and manage deliveries.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered by the team.
  • Maintain safety standards in the workplace, ensuring all staff and guests are safe. Adhere to workplace policies and procedures including reporting, controlling, identifying/mitigating risks & hazards and conducting quarterly risk assessments & inspections.

 

This role is part-time, min. 30 hours week, between 8am - 3pm. Flexibility is required to work weekdays, weekends & public holidays. Start & finish times may vary, depending on the business needs. During the busy peak periods, you may be required to help out in other parts of the business eg. cafe.

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Previous housekeeping team leader experience and a knowledge of workflow operations in a resort or similar environment.
  • Certificate/qualification in hospitality or tourism, first aid or OHS, desirable
  • Competent admin & computer skills is required, including MS Office, Outlook & PMS Opera.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, time management and problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility and service orientated.
  • Experience in ordering, managing deliveries & building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors & stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform active physical duties, including heavy lifting up to 20kgs and repetitive manual tasks safely.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
