About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Grounds Maintenance Officer – Golf Course to join our dedicated Golf Course Grounds team. This role is responsible for maintaining the golf course to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional presentation, playability, and member experience.

Working as part of a professional turf management team, you will carry out day-to-day golf course maintenance activities efficiently and safely, with minimal disruption to golf operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Golf Course Maintenance

  • Perform daily golf course maintenance activities to the highest standard, including:
    • Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds
    • Planting and course landscaping
    • Application of fertilisers and turf treatments
    • Irrigation and water system maintenance
    • Basic maintenance and care of turf equipment
  • Maintain workshop areas and storage facilities in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
  • Ensure all tools, machinery, and equipment are maintained in good working order.
  • Proactively identify turf, course, or maintenance issues and report them to management for appropriate scheduling and action.
  • Maintain excellent presentation and cleanliness across all areas of the golf course.
  • Follow best-practice turf management techniques and adhere to all standard operating procedures.
  • Continuously develop skills and knowledge in golf course maintenance and turf management.

 

About You

  • Previous experience in golf course maintenance, turf management, horticulture, or grounds maintenance (preferred).
  • A strong work ethic with attention to detail and pride in presentation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a professional golf course environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or machinery licences (desirable but not essential).

 

 

This role is full-time 38 hours week. Flexibility is required to work weekdays, weekends & public holidays. Start & finish times may vary, depending on the business needs.
