A day in the life

 

You will be an integral part of our kitchen brigade. We’re looking for professional and experienced Chefs who can work in a fast-paced production kitchen and who take pride in what they do and genuinely love cooking. You will take ownership of a section of the kitchen in an area you excel and are passionate about, to make your own!

 

We're open 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Evening and weekend availability is essential. You'll be rostered to meet the peak and flow of business demands.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Serving a consistently high-quality product;
  • Managing the regular rotation of stock to ensure minimal wastage;
  • Overseeing and performing operational duties of the section;
  • Working in all areas of the kitchen operation; and
  • Training and inducting staff and supervising the development of apprentices, cooks, and chefs assigned to the section.

 

Full availability and flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster across weekdays, nights, weekends, and public holidays is required for this role.

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

 

  • Previous Demi Chef/ Chef de Partie experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment  
  • A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia 
  • Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills 
  • Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment 
  • The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely 
  • Full working rights in Australia
