About the Opportunity

 

As a Senior Lending Specialist, you will be the main contact for customers throughout the entirety of the lending journey. This includes (but not limited to) initial conversations, loan application assessment, requirements and objectives, adherence to responsible lending criteria, gathering and reviewing all documentation and issuing of loan contracts.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Communicate proactively at key application stages (submission, decision, contract, settlement) to keep customers informed.
  • Make sound decisions on loan applications and customer enquiries, ensuring compliance with RACV policies and relevant legislation.
  • Support team operations through call coaching, training, onboarding, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage customer dissatisfaction appropriately and refer to relevant teams when necessary.
  • Maintain service standards, contribute to positive NPS outcomes, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and report potential fraud, ensuring adherence to AML/CTF and other compliance requirements.
  • Achieve individual settlement targets and support process improvements across loan processing and data management.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

 

  • Essential – Experience in customer service/call centre/retail environment.
  • Essential – HSE/VCE equivalent or 3 years recent experience in finance role.
  • Essential – Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong understanding of the lending process and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of Call Centre competency
  • Bachelor’s degree or TAFE certificate in Banking/Finance
  • Knowledge of NCCP Act, Credit Act, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act, AML/ CTF/ PEP and other applicable legislation
