As User Experience Lead, you will be responsible for leading a high performing team in the design and creation of best-in-class digital experiences that are compelling and easy to use across all devices and platforms to deliver meaningful outcomes that impact people’s lives and support RACV’s strategic goals.    

 

 

About the Opportunity 

 

The User Experience Lead is a strategic role responsible for driving and progressing RACV’s digital experience agenda. You will work very closely with senior business leaders, development teams, designers and product managers across RACV.

 

The User Experience Lead’s role is to support the roadmap of digital experience uplift and ensure this balances the need of the customer, business viability and technical feasibility. The role will work closely with all facets of the organisation, and therefore must be experienced at relationship building, influencing and storytelling.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing: 

 

  • Own and deliver end to end Digital Experience design from conception through to launch and ongoing iteration and improvement, leveraging design thinking principles and agile ways of working.
  • Use customer and member insights to drive and guide development of new/improved member experiences and offerings.
  • Ideate and create conceptual wireframes, user flows and IA.
  • Lead the plan, construction and delivery of experiences and customer research
  • Lead the refinement of concepts into high fidelity designs ready for development
  • Coach and develop a team of talented individuals to improve performance and behaviours, ensuring clarity of purpose, development plans and a collaborative and supportive team environment is sustained.
  • Lead team members across transactional and project activity, including supporting their individual development
  • Establish, manage and maintain relationships with all facets of the organisation to influence and support digital activities
  • Lead the articulation of ROI and member experience gains associated with design outcomes
  • Identify and recommend improvements to optimise digital channel performance
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis as it relates to digital competitiveness
  • Develop strategies to deliver continuous, iterative improvement of digital experiences through website development, user experience (UX) reviews, analytics and research
  • Ensure optimal and consistent approach to digital experiences and lift consistency of cross channel interactions
  • Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts to deliver value to the organisation
  • Make decisions, clear roadblocks and negotiate trade-offs to ensure maximum impact for Members and the business
  • Role model a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Digital Experience department, Digital & Digital Products division and throughout RACV

 

 

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring 

 

Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. You’ll come with: 

 

  • Tertiary qualified in Industrial Design/Graphic Design/Fine Arts/UX Design or related fields that help you make sense from chaos.
  • You’ll have over 10 years of experience in the application of design to real world problems that impact consumers and employees alike and can traverse the spectrum from strategy and design, to build and activation.
  • You are comfortable leading design teams and projects in delivery formulation and execution as well as playing the role of a lead designer across multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • You are well versed in the scoping, positioning and sale of integrated design and consulting services to the C-suite and D-suite of enterprise clients across major industries including Financial Services (preferred), Insurance, Consumer Goods, Real Estate, Retail and Government/Public Sector, amongst others.
  • Proficiency with digital design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence and Miro. 
  • Experience in designing for enterprise technology stacks such as Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce. 
  • You have a proven, demonstrable track record in leading customer-driven transformation and digital teams that are obsessed with creating solutions that users love and that deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • You are passionate about human-centric design and agile product delivery methodologies. You harness these methods as ways of interpreting the world and creating, capturing and delivering value.
  • You are a proven self-starter and leader with demonstrated experience establishing developing and growing teams, accounts and businesses. You have firm beliefs about design principals, practices and products that help get the most out of your team and every project.
  • You care deeply about your team and getting the best outcomes for them, our members and RACV.
