About the Opportunity  

 

We’re on a mission to unlock the full potential of digital at RACV. To get there, we’re looking for a UX Designer who can design elegant end-to-end experiences, solve complex problems through insight driven design, and elevate the UX craft across the organisation. 

  

Reporting to the Head of User Experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping seamless, intuitive, and meaningful user experiences across RACV’s digital ecosystem. 

 

You'll work closely with designers, researchers, content specialists, product owners, developers, and senior stakeholders to design solutions that balance desirability, feasibility, and business value.

You’ll be instrumental in collaborating and supporting the Digital team and broader business.  
 

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:  

  

 

Research 

  • Plan, design and deliver ethical, unbiased user research 

  • Discover customer problems and validate potential solutions 

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis 

  • Interpret data and qualitative insights to inform design decisions 

 

 

Design 

  • Deliver best practice design recommendations 

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes & high-fidelity designs 

  • Collaborate closely with UI Designers on navigation, layout, and component use 

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts 

  • Analyse customer behaviour and demographics to inform design 

 

 

Testing 

  • Plan and conduct usability testing (in-person and remote) 

  • Test across multiple page and experience types, providing clear reporting 

  • Run live experiments and capture realtime user insights 

 

 

Measurement & Optimisation 

  • Measure engagement, usability and customer satisfaction 

  • Track experience performance against usability goals 

  • Present UX insights and recommendations to leadership 

 

 

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring  

  

Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. You’ll come with:  

  

  • 2+ years’ experience in UX Design (or equivalent digital/design experience)  

  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Askable, or Optimal Workshop  

  • Tertiary qualification in Design, HCI, Digital Communications, Psychology or similar fields  

  • A portfolio demonstrating UX process, research, design execution and problem solving  

  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for digital design and continuous learning  

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or analytics tools (preferred but not essential) 

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills 

  • Ability to simplify complex systems into clear, intuitive experiences  

  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels  

  • Persuasive storytelling with the ability to influence and align teams  

  • Strong motivation for codesign, workshops, and cross functional collaboration
