Our team of Service Designers are the sense makers and connectors between customers, people, systems and processes, driving exceptional experiences. We do this by applying human-centred design to uncover valuable insights and identify opportunities for RACV to achieve its strategic goals.

 

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of User Experience, the UX Designer is responsible for clear understanding of business goals/requirements and any technical and user behaviour within the self-serve experience for RACV customers, and be proficient in a wide variety of skills, ranging from psychology to design and technology.

Success in the role will be underpinned by your ability to conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.

 

  • Plan, formulate and undertake ethical and unbiased user research to discover problems, define solutions and validate concepts and prototypes with our customers and members
  • Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
  • Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions
  • Coordinate with UI design team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and alignment with other channels and the holistic RACV user experience
  • Workshop and collaborate on designs with key project stakeholders and subject matter experts

You will also be responsible to design the overall functionality of the authenticated self-serve platform, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.

 

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring.

Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. You’ll come with:

 

  • 3+ years of UX design experience.
  • Experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
  • Expertise in standard collaborative digital software such as Figma and Miro
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
