We have an exciting opportunity for a casual Traffic Safety Educator to join our team to deliver RACV’s education programs and to promote effective teaching of safety education in Victorian primary schools.
About the Opportunity
As a Traffic Safety Educator, you will deliver engaging road safety education programs to primary schools, manage logistics and resources, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality learning experiences. You’ll also contribute to program development through feedback and data collection, support remote presenters, and uphold RACV’s commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Deliver education programs across Metropolitan Melbourne, including school bookings, lesson prep, meetings, workshops, and resource management.
- Promote education programs via direct and indirect channels.
- Collect participant data and feedback to support program development.
- Contribute ideas for program improvement.
- Support other remote education presenters through regular communication.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for program quality.
- Maintain a safe workplace and manage HSE issues per RACV policies.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Essential – Appropriate tertiary qualification in education, preferably primary school.
- Essential - Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
- Experience in teaching in Victorian schools and knowledge of the Victorian education system and Victorian Curriculum standards.
- Experience in communicating information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in working with and meeting the needs of a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated to drive your own performance.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence (required for travel to and from school bookings) and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
- NOTE: This is a casual position, Availability expectations are 1-2 days per week however as the programs are on demand this is not guaranteed
