About the opportunity

At RACV, we're continuing to enhance the digital experiences and technology platforms that support our members, customers and employees. We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Test Lead to join our Technology team and play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions across strategic business initiatives.

This is an opportunity for a Test Lead who enjoys balancing people leadership with technical delivery. You'll work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Scrum Masters, Technology Leads and business stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role will support high-priority initiatives across RACV, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, collaboration and delivering outcomes that make a difference.

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead and mentor a team of Test Analysts, providing guidance, support and quality assurance best practices across the squad.

  • Manage test planning, estimation, execution and reporting across multiple initiatives and releases.

  • Oversee defect management, risk identification and resolution activities to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

  • Develop, review and maintain test cases, test scripts, test plans, test strategies and test summary reports.

  • Contribute to both manual and automated testing activities, including API testing and ongoing test automation uplift.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams and external vendors to ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance testing processes, tools and team capability.

  • Support release activities and post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Proven experience in a Test Lead or similar leadership role

  • Extensive technical background in manual testing, and hands-on experience in test automation and API testing.

  • Experience leading and developing testing teams, including overseeing both onshore and offshore resources.

  • Experience with automation tools such as UiPath and an interest in emerging technologies, including AI-enabled testing approaches.

  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and experience working within cross-functional squads.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, operating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience within insurance, financial services or another highly regulated industry will be highly regarded. Salesforce testing experience is also advantageous.
