About the Opportunity

 

The Solar Energy Consultant is expected to meet their own sales targets as part of the Bendigo & Northwest Victoria sales team. The role entails performing regular sales, technical and product training, and providing other support to the Residential Sales Team. Working from the Bendigo office, you will be responsible for supporting customers with incoming enquiries. An important aspect of the role will be generating opportunities, sales and developing customer relations; this includes creating prospects, following up on leads and dealing with customers in a helpful and efficient manner.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering effective and responsive customer service
  • Proven experience in handling incoming calls (in a customer service centre or similar environment)
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative, prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of PV and battery systems (desirable)
  • Tertiary/TAFE qualification in business administration or related discipline (desirable)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly over the telephone
  • Exceptional ability to deal with customers in a professional and competent manner (including conflict resolution/negotiation)
  • Ability to listen and ask questions effectively to determine customer needs
  • Solid computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills to work independently with limited guidance and supervision
