About the Opportunity
The Solar Energy Consultant is expected to meet their own sales targets as part of the metro sales team. The role will require the ability to action web-based leads for solar and battery systems in a timely manner, complete sales quotations over the phone and at times driving to customers properties to present solar proposals. An important aspect of the role will be timely actioning of opportunities, and developing great customer relationships; this includes, following up on leads and dealing with customers in a helpful and efficient manner.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering effective and responsive customer service
- Proven experience in handling incoming calls (in a customer service centre or similar environment)
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative, prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of PV and battery systems (desirable)
- Tertiary/TAFE qualification in business administration or related discipline (desirable)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly over the telephone
- Exceptional ability to deal with customers in a professional and competent manner (including conflict resolution/negotiation)
- Ability to listen and ask questions effectively to determine customer needs
- Solid computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills to work independently with limited guidance and supervision
