About the Opportunity
The Senior Manager, AI Strategy is a pivotal role responsible for shaping RACV’s AI direction by proactively identifying new AI opportunities, shaping the forward macro-programme and ensuring RACV’s AI agenda is market leading.
This role demands gravitas and a strong consulting background, ideally gained within a leading consultancy, to drive strategic initiatives, scan external trends, and guide annual AI reviews. You will produce insight-driven content including market vignettes and case studies, embedding strategic thinking across the enterprise.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our AI team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

External AI View:
Continuously monitor and analyse external AI market, competitor, and industry developments to guide RACV’s AI strategic direction. -
Enterprise AI Roadmap Development:
Lead the strategy and insights work underpinning the creation and evolution of the enterprise AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with internal capabilities and external trends. -
Opportunity Identification & Sizing:
Proactively identify, assess, and size new AI opportunities by analysing internal business needs and external market, competitor, and technology trends. -
Initiative Shaping & Value Articulation:
Shape and prioritise AI-based initiatives and use cases, clearly articulating their value to RACV and collaborating with business stakeholders to agree on potential benefits. -
Experimentation & Approach Recommendation:
Propose initial approaches (build or buy) for new initiatives, emphasising the importance of experimentation to validate concepts and inform investment decisions. -
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
Work closely with Product Owners, business SMEs, and experimentation teams to ensure AI initiatives are relevant, feasible, and aligned with business objectives
What you’ll need to be successful
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in strategy consulting within a leading consulting firm.
- Additional background in advanced analytics, data science, or AI-focused roles is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy with a strong external focus, leveraging market, competitor, and industry insights to inform organizational direction.
- Proven track record in advising, designing, and implementing data-driven strategies that deliver measurable business value.
- Strong engagement, communication, and influencing skills, with experience presenting to and collaborating with senior management (EGMs/CEO) and cross-functional teams.
- Effective matrix leadership and collaboration skills, driving alignment and adoption of AI strategy across diverse business units.
- Experience leading change and fostering a culture of innovation in complex organizational environments
