We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance team and lead statutory reporting, compliance, and governance initiatives across the RACV Group. This is a pivotal role for a recognised authority in financial reporting standards and policy interpretation, with broad organisational impact.

 

 

About the Role

As RACV’s subject matter expert on statutory and financial reporting standards, compliance frameworks, and policy interpretation, you will provide authoritative guidance on complex accounting matters with significant organisational impact.

 

This role leads the development of best practice reporting frameworks to ensure alignment with governance and regulatory standards, oversees Group consolidation and statutory reporting including the preparation of financial statements and regulatory returns and mentors a team of financial reporting specialists.

 

You will also drive enterprise-wide initiatives such as the ERP Oracle Fusion implementation, embedding governance, improving efficiency, and enhancing reporting quality across the organisation.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Statutory Reporting:

  • Full responsibility for RACV Group statutory accounts and subsidiary reporting.
  • Prepare regulatory reports (ABS, APRA), manage audit processes, and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, Corporations Act, and other legislative requirements.

 

ERP Oracle Fusion Implementation:

  • Lead financial/statutory reporting and fixed assets workstreams.
  • Define requirements, design, configure, test, and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion.
  • Ensure system supports accurate and timely reporting and disclosures.
  • Drive change management and provide post go-live support.

 

Financial Accounting & Board Reporting:

  • Manage Group consolidations, monthly balance sheet and cashflow reporting, and capex reporting for Board submission.
  • Oversee fixed assets accounting and property revaluations.
  • Prepare Group balance sheet and cashflow budgets.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and ERP systems.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies and procedures.

 

Leadership & Advisory:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Provide expert advice on accounting matters, consolidations, and policy application.

 

About You

You will be CA or CPA qualified with extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting, bringing proven expertise in statutory reporting for complex corporate groups. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Australian accounting standards is essential and experience leading ERP implementations will be highly regarded.

 

Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills are critical, as is the ability to manage ambiguity, drive continuous improvement, and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
