About the Opportunity
As Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of statutory and external reporting requirements, including accounting advice. You will also prepare Group Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements including budgets.
Supporting RACV Finance Limited, you will play a key role in the Group statutory and financial reporting process by assisting with month end processes.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Financial Controls team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:
- Preparation of related Audit Committee papers
- Completion and lodgement of statistical reporting e.g. ABS reports
- Annual FBT return reconciliation
- Preparation of monthly Group Consolidation journals and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the general ledger
- Development/maintenance of the Group Chart of Accounts, including the Accounts dictionary
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, accounting and general ledger practices
- Assistance with the development and review of company policies and procedures
Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring
- Completed a degree in Accounting / Commerce / Business
- CA/CPA qualified
- Extensive background in accounting for financial instruments and the Group Consolidation process
- Detailed knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards, including IFRS
- Knowledge of accounting systems and general tax legislation
- Previous experience in the role of Financial Accountant
- Highly developed written and verbal skills including formal presentations
- Strong analytical skills and with a keen attention to detail
- Financial modelling and a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience working in an accounting firm or within an internal finance team
