About the Opportunity

 

As Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of statutory and external reporting requirements, including accounting advice. You will also prepare Group Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements including budgets.

Supporting RACV Finance Limited, you will play a key role in the Group statutory and financial reporting process by assisting with month end processes. Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Preparation of related Audit Committee papers
  • Completion and lodgement of statistical reporting e.g. ABS reports
  • Annual FBT return reconciliation
  • Development/maintenance of the Group Chart of Accounts, including the Accounts dictionary
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, accounting and general ledger practices
  • Assistance with the development and review of company policies and procedures

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Bachelor of Business – major in Accounting or similar
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Detailed knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards, including IFRS
  • Knowledge of general tax legislation and accounting systems
  • Previous experience in the role of Financial Accountant
  • Highly developed written and verbal skills including formal presentations
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solver
  • Financial modelling and a focus on continuous improvement
