About the Opportunity

 

Reporting to the BA Practice Team Leader, the Senior Business Analyst in our Leisure Digital Squad plays a pivotal role in shaping RACV’s future. You’ll be at the centre of major projects and BAU initiatives, working within dynamic, cross-skilled Agile-Scrum squads to deliver solutions that make a real impact across the organisation. These projects range from simple enhancements to highly complex transformations, giving you the chance to influence how RACV operates and serves its members.

 

In this role, you’ll act as the critical link between business and technology - translating ideas into actionable outcomes. You’ll collaborate with a diverse mix of stakeholders, applying exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to build strong relationships and drive success. Your experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments will help you navigate varied project landscapes with confidence.

As a senior member of our Program Management team, you’ll help drive high-quality delivery across both strategic and operational initiatives. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

 

  • Lead the scoping, planning, analysis and documentation for deliverables confirmed during Quarterly planning and estimation sessions.
  • Document the business processes, business rules, requirements, benefits, dependencies, risks.
  • Work closely with Product Owner, actively participate in backlog grooming, options analysis and benefits realisation.
  • Produce high quality detailed business requirements and/or epics and user stories and liaise with Scrum Master to ensure end to end delivery by technical teams.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify those impacted by changes to processes, procedures, technology, and ways of working.
  • Undertake discovery, analysis, design, modelling and documentation of business processes and procedures for (as-is) current state and defining the (to-be) future state.
  • Lead and facilitate gathering requirements to meet business and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with Squads and other Business Areas to define and document success metrics and acceptance criteria of business / functional / non-functional / technical / integration requirements
  • Lead Refinement and Story Elaboration sessions & actively participate in other Scrum ceremonies, run walkthroughs as needed.
  • Liaise with Frontline & Support teams to create high quality work instructions, user reference guides and knowledge articles for use in training and support.

 

 

Who we are looking for and what you will bring

 

Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. You will come with:

  • 5+ years’ work experience as a Business Analysis Practitioner or similar role is essential, supporting organisation-wide or end-to-end technology and business projects from planning and evaluation to execution.
  • 3+ years' work experience as a Senior Business Analyst is desirable
  • Experience in loyalty benefits and rewards programs is essential
  • Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field is essential
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as Atlassian Jira & Confluence, Office 365, process modelling tools such as Visio or draw.io is essential
  • Experience in Member-based and/or Customer-facing organisation is preferred Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the travel industry.
  • Exposure to different types of initiatives in a range of industries, from small enhancements, small to medium-sized initiatives and enterprise-wide implementations in a regulated, service-driven environment would be viewed favorably.
  • Previous experience in Leisure Hospitality advantageous.
