About the Opportunity
RACV is seeking a Senior AML/CTF Specialist to play a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous uplift of our AML/CTF compliance framework within RACV Finance.
Reporting to the AML/CTF Compliance Officer, this senior specialist role supports the effective operation of RACV’s AML/CTF Program through transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, investigations, regulatory reporting, and assurance activities. You’ll act as a trusted subject matter expert, helping identify, mitigate and manage ML/TF/PF risks while strengthening our overall compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, approve and submit regulatory reports including Suspicious Matter Reports
- Provide insights from due diligence activities on third‑parties and outsourced providers
- Maintain AML/CTF procedures and guidance material guides
- Execute compliance monitoring, quality assurance reviews and thematic assurance activities
- Analyse compliance activity to identify control weaknesses and support remediation actions
- Support the AMLCO in regulator, audit and assurance engagements
- Acting as delegate for the AML/CTF Compliance Officer during absences
What you’ll need to be successful
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in AML/CTF, financial crime, regulatory compliance or assurance (finance or non‑bank lending)
- Strong working knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, AUSTRAC reporting, CDD and transaction monitoring
- Experience preparing Suspicious Matter Reports
- Excellent analytical, investigative and communication skills
- Ability to operate confidently in regulator‑facing environments
- Relevant tertiary qualification in compliance, risk, finance, law, commerce or similar (desirable)
