About the Opportunity
The People and Culture Risk and Compliance Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to employment laws, industry regulations, and internal policies. This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management frameworks and compliance strategies within the People and Culture (P&C) function.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Monitor adherence to internal HR policies and procedures, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of ER changes, compliance issues and actions
- Assist in the preparation of detailed compliance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks within the People and Culture function.
- Maintain and update the P&C risk register, ensuring risks are regularly reviewed and appropriate controls are in place
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Internal Audit, External Audit and Risk Management, to ensure a cohesive compliance framework.
- Act as a point of contact for P&C compliance inquiries and escalations.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, compliance, risk management or a similar role
- Proven expertise in interpreting industrial instruments, HR policies, and related regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field or relevant experience is desirable
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry or multinational organisation is desirable
- Sound problem solving skills including the ability to make well thought out and considered decisions based on sound insight, judgement and working
- knowledge of industrial instruments, legislation and policies.
- A practical, service-driven, resilient style with a high level of maturity and a grounded approach.
- Work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional outlook and a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Effective problem-solving skills and high level of oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed planning, organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
