About the Opportunity

 

As part of our commitment to supporting Members and customers throughout the vehicle ownership journey, we’ve launched Car Match, a digital research platform that combines expert motoring content, data-driven advice, and integrated RACV products to help car buyers make informed decisions.

 

Car Match is a strategic initiative that drives content engagement, lead generation, and personalisation, while supporting RACV’s goals across insurance, roadside, finance, electrification, and policy.

 

We’re seeking a Product Manager to lead the post-launch growth of Car Match. This hands-on role requires digital product expertise, automotive insight, and strong data acumen. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-impact roadmap focused on experimentation, optimisation, and measurable business outcomes.

 

Success in this role means understanding customer intent and building digital experiences that blend content, product, and data aligning with evolving consumer behaviours and industry trends.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Content Channels team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

 

  • Lead the development of Car Match – from ideation, experimentation and feature definition to release, iteration and performance tracking.
  • Shape and prioritise the product roadmap using data, customer insight, business objectives and emerging automotive and digital trends to inform decisions.
  • Build clear pathways to deepen engagement with RACV content and funnel high-intent audiences through to lead generation for relevant RACV products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning insights and analytics, marketing, experience design, content production and digital development to bring high-quality experiences to market.
  • Embed agile product practices, rituals, and reporting to ensure continuous delivery, stakeholder visibility, and effective risk and performance management.
  • Establish mechanisms for learning – from A/B testing to feedback loops – that inform product and content evolution in line with customer and commercial goals.
  • Work with leadership teams, product teams, broader digital and design practice, marketing, content, technology and architecture, data, and analytics, legal and customers to form a deep understanding of customer problems and potential solutions.
  • Create discipline and focus in establishing delivery foundations such as documenting findings into specifications and user stories, GTM planning rigor, tracking and measurement including ROI, design and build and an unwavering commitment to executional excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage product-related risks across delivery, compliance, consumers and OEMs, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in agile methodologies and design through to delivery
  • Proven experience in delivering proof of concepts, propositions and enhancements that drive improved digital customer experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong capability in managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • An ability to articulate decisions to cross-functional team, senior management and other key stakeholders as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities whilst completing work according to schedule and budget.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and/or an MBA desirable.
  • Automotive industry experience and understanding of the vehicle ownership journey are highly regarded.
