About the Opportunity

 

As Head of Finance Change & Innovation, you will bring your experience as a strategic finance transformation leader to drive finance process automation and enhance digital capabilities. Acting as the Oracle Fusion Product Owner, you will define what to build for maximum business impact, champion the voice of the customer, and embed innovation and agility across the finance function.

 

You are an experienced strategic finance transformation leader, known for bridging technology and change at ease across a multitude of key business stakeholders. You will have deep expertise in finance and finance systems with a product owner mindset, spot high-impact productivity opportunities and build high performing teams that foster innovation.

 

Reporting to the GM Finance Transformation, this role is crucial to ensuring RACV’s finance transformation efforts are strategically aligned, adequately resourced and deliver measurable value. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Finance team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

 

  • Shape the Finance roadmap Define and secure endorsement for multi-year process, automation, and digital capability plans with CFO and Finance Leadership.
  • Champion innovation Drive high-impact automation, AI, and emerging tech opportunities to boost efficiency and control.
  • Lead integration Oversee incorporation of new businesses into finance systems and processes.
  • Own transformation portfolio Manage initiative identification, business cases, benefits tracking, prioritising Finance change initiative backlog, and alignment with RACV’s Program Management Framework.
  • Lead finance change initiatives:  Fostering a “Finance Product Owner” mindset to drive culture of innovation and agility while ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Governance and compliance Chair process governance forums and ensure adherence to risk and compliance standards.
  • Advise and influence Act as trusted advisor bridging technical and business perspectives for senior leaders and project teams.
  • Communicate and report and Provide executive-level updates on pipeline health, ROI, adoption, and forward-looking roadmaps. Develop targeted communication and engagement strategies to foster buy-in.
  • Lead and develop team Coach and grow a high-performing team, fostering innovation, accountability, and professional development.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (MBA, CA/CPA or equivalent)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting or related field
  • Demonstrated experience 10+ years leading large-scale change and transformation in a finance or corporate environment, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership
  • Proven ability to gain endorsements for multi-year finance transformation roadmaps and deliver large-scale benefit portfolios
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing change and innovation teams in large, complex organisations
  • Prosci, Lean Six Sigma or similar certification desirable
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or member-based organisations desirable
