About the opportunity

As the General Manager – RACV Resorts, you will be entrusted with the strategic direction and operational leadership of the Resorts portfolio to continue our proud record of year-on-year growth. This high-impact role involves overseeing daily operations, driving financial performance, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a culture of excellence across all properties.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The General Manager Resorts role is pivotal in providing strategic leadership and vision for the Resorts portfolio. This includes crafting and communicating a compelling strategy that aligns with RACV’s broader objectives, while driving innovation and long-term growth across all resort operations.

 

A core responsibility of the role is team leadership and development. The General Manager- Resorts is expected to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a high-performance, people-first culture that reflects RACV’s values.

 

Effective stakeholder engagement is essential, requiring the role to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support and advance strategic initiatives.

 

Operational excellence is another key focus, overseeing resort operations, managing budgets, financial performance, and capital expenditure programs. This also involves implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

 

The guest experience is central to the role and is responsible for cultivating a culture of continuous improvement in guest services. Finally, business development is a critical aspect, with the position, driving revenue growth through market analysis and service optimisation. Monitoring industry trends and adapting strategies ensures the resorts maintain a competitive edge.

 

What you’ll need to be successful 

  • Extensive senior management experience in hospitality, tourism, or hotel operations.
  • Proven success in leading large-scale, multi-site operations.
  • Strong P&L management with accountability for significant revenue portfolios.
  • Expertise in leisure, accommodation, and food & beverage service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
