About the Opportunity
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be the primary point of contact for provision of all finance services to designated customer groups (business divisions and departments) and deliver an effective balance of financial management and reporting, cost management, business strategy and advice to influence performance. You will also be responsible for the delivery of finance services including decision support, planning, reporting, and accounting.

You will be responsible for the delivery of an effective balance of financial management and reporting. Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Lead role in coordinating and preparing the annual Business Planning and rolling forecasting for the teams they support
- Work closely with teams to agree budget/forecast assumptions that can be used to derive volumes and produce financial plans
- Develop financial plans and forecasts based on sound assumptions.
- Monitor and manage expenditure, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examine any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances
- Assist with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision making
- Analyse actual expenditure, explain variances, and advises on options in use of available budget
- Manage end-of-month and year end financial processes in accordance with Group timetables and accounting policies.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supports reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts
- Ensure daily/monthly LT and other reporting is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Monitor financial performance by proactively comparing financial activity against budget and providing accurate financial performance information and forecast of expected outcomes. Includes P&L’s, projects, capital expenditure and other key business metrics
- Provide insight and advice on key performance indicators
- Provide support & expertise to enterprise projects and programs which impact finance reporting processes
- Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems and identifies options for consideration
What you’ll need to be successful
- Tertiary qualifications in fields of business, accounting and/or economics.
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant
- 3 years’ experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting
- Strong knowledge of business case development
- High level financial analysis, modelling and business reporting skills
- Knowledge of investment management processes
- 8 years’ relevant post graduate business experience including accounting or commercial management role
- Strong Commercial Acumen
- Strong Communication: listening, oral, written
- Track record of effective Stakeholder Management Skills
