About the Opportunity

 

The Electric Vehicle (EV) Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales of electric vehicle charging solutions to businesses. This will see RACV extend upon its rich automotive heritage to be considered as a pre-eminent EV solution provider to businesses as they navigate the broader energy transition.

 

In this exciting new opportunity, a proactive approach to business development is essential, complemented by a drive to grow this new business line from the ground up.

As EV Business Development Manager, you will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional B2B sales results, underpinned by a high degree of competency in building and nurturing a pipeline. Daily responsibilities will include:

 

  • Prospect/generate new leads in line with target segments, ensuing commercial EV opportunities are maximised in terms of revenue and margin
  • Support with the development of a commercial EV sales strategy
  • Execute the commercial EV sales strategy across target segments to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
  • Convert qualified leads into confirmed business in a timely manner
  • Develop financial models and technical scopes as part of proposals to commercial customers
  • Identify, engage, and deepen relationships with key stakeholders across target industry segment to develop commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Maintain customer data in the CRM to support effective sales pipeline management

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Tertiary qualification in business, engineering or related field
  • Previous experience within sales or business development role (essential)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a B2B sales environment
  • 3+ years’ exposure selling energy / EV solutions to commercial and industrial customers is preferred
  • A strong technical aptitude to enable the scoping, develop, and quoting of EV solutions for businesses
  • A hunter mindset with proven track record delivering sales growth year on year
  • Strong stakeholder management with demonstrated ability to build solid and genuine working relationships that yield impressive commercial results
  • A self-starter with a bias towards action and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly change work environment
